LOSS and CRUELTY

Just yesterday I heard a cry,
mourning for lost souls gone by
For yesterday brought tragedy,
nothing left but waste to see.

Now we pray for all these souls,
Souls of those caught in the throws, as
Mother Nature bared her wrath,
Clearing all within her path.

As weeks go by and life goes on,
We see more trouble and more storms,
What once was scenic and serene, is
Not much more than dust and ruin.

With more lives lost than those who’re born,
It makes one thankful for their own,
Grateful each and every day, that
Friends and family are okay.

So why is it that there are those,
who see it crucial to their cause,
To see such heartbreak going on,
But still they see fit to do harm.

To treat your brethren with distaste,
will only show your own disgrace,
The true path to enlightenment,
is never easy to accept.

There is no perfect human form,
We all have faults, we all do wrong.
The difference lies in those who see,
the value in generosity.
